Weingut Pfluger Riesling Buntsandstein 2019
About the wine
Take my card... Classy German winemaking exemplified
- This wine is the truest reflection of its unique region. Using low intervention winemaking, Alexander has really let his vines take the wheel, producing an intense and fruity Riesling.
- It can only be described as a peach and pineapple extravaganza. Tropical on the nose, fruit laden and juicy on the palate, making it the ideal food pairing wine to impress all your mates with - it'll do half the work for you!
- Dish up with a Paella and you can do no wrong. Also a strong contender alongside white meats or a Thai Green Curry.

Meet the winemaker - Covid Support Fund
Among the (many) groups of people affected by your favourite restaurant or bar being closed are the small independent winemakers who supply them, and whose wine no longer has a home. It’s especially the small guys that have little-to-no hope of selling their wine any time soon...
With their markets in lockdown, orders have dried up completely. And with little government help available in lots of countries, many are in real danger of going bust.
We’re pledging to help the best of the independent winemakers who’ve been affected by this crisis. We’ve received over 200 applications so far. Some of the stories would be enough to bring you to tears. They have wine sitting in their winery, and this is their silver lining.
