Surani Costarossa Primitivo di Manduria 2017
About the wine
This rich and complex Italian Primitivo packs a serious punch
-
Primitivo is a punchy Mediterranean grape that has become one of southern Italy’s leading varieties. We’ve had some absolute corkers pass through the doors of HQ over the years, like Dom Hentall’s and Christian Patat’s, so if you liked them then make sure you add this one to your list!
-
Deep ruby in colour, with aromas of prunes, dates and figs, and hints of sweet spice. It’s a full-bodied beauty, with toasty notes that linger on the finish and make it one hell of a tipple.
-
We’ve had the chance to cherry-pick the best of Majestic wines to plug gaps in our range. This wine wasn’t funded by Angels, so doesn’t carry an Angel saving. But thanks to Majestic’s buying power, you still get it at a snip!

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Naked Marketplace
Every week, on our travels or back at HQ, we come across wines that taste amazing but weren’t made for us by Naked winemakers
At the price and quality, we wouldn’t be doing our job if we didn’t make them available to you. So we list them without a winemaker or a story under Naked Marketplace
They’re generally parcels and one-offs, so once they’re gone, they’re gone!
