Market Price
To show you the value you're getting as an Angel...
We regularly benchmark a selection of our wines against up to three comparable wines on the market. The Market Price is based on the price of those wines.
What do we mean by benchmark? We taste them blind against our own wines, or we use our market knowledge (over 40 years between us) to set an industry standard Market Price.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Market Price, or it's not your cup of tea, we'll give you your money back. For more info, see our FAQS.

About the wine
Sam pulled out all the stops to make this premium Aussie Cab
- From the final crush of 2019, the fruit Sam has used for this Cab Sav gave him cause for a lot of excitement. The Premium Aussie Cab Sav grapes were extra small and intense, which he knew would make for some seriously large and in charge flavours.
- With the help of his cellar hand, Nick, Sam tried an exciting first with these grapes, splitting the fruit into three groups and allowing each a different length of time to ferment. Sam then brought the juice of all three back together to rest in oak barrels, creating one very exciting, complex blend.
- This Cab Sav has a deep, luxurious purple colour with an equally plush length to match. Flavours of cassis and blackcurrant are earthy and rich, offset elegantly by a touch of spicy oak. You'll also find plenty of tannins - the hallmark of a really top-draw Cab.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Sam Plunkett
- Legend is a word we sometimes overuse, but in Sam's case, it's true. Over in Oz he’s regarded as one of their greatest living winemakers. Getting on for a thousand medals and trophies to his name, including the daddy of them all – the Best Shiraz in Australia Trophy at the 2010 Great Australian Shiraz Challenge.
- Yet if you met him, you’d probably mistake him for the gardener. He’s one of the most down-to-earth, approachable blokes you’ll ever meet. He wears a beat-up old hat and drives a beat-up old pick up, and when he’s not in the vineyard, you’re likely to find him up a ladder with a wrench in his hand.
- From being in a pretty sticky situation back in 2011 when he was unexpectedly bought-out by his business partner, Sam has just achieved his lifetime dream; he’s converted an old textile factory into his very own gleaming high-tech winery and it’s all thanks to Angel funding!
