About the wine

- This Shiraz is the Daniel Craig of our reds. It's smooth & rich, but still packs a punch.
- Angel funding helped the guys keep their best grapes. They used to have to sell them to their neighbours to finance the winemaking. Because of that we get to buy better wines at a lower price, and that saving is passed on to you!
- Aged in expensive French Oak, this smoky, spicy, luscious red is the ideal companion for chargrilled red meat.

Serving advice
Serve at 18-20°C. Open/Decant 1-2 hours before serving
Food match
I would suggest barbecue, especially spareribs and/or braised beef. Leaner red meat, stew, and mildly spicy ethnic foods. Chicken, especially barbecued and braised as well as duck.
For those who would like something other than meat, grilled vegetables. Cheese, especially aged hard cheeses like Gouda.

Meet the winemaker - Kobie & Faisal
- Kobie was head winemaker at South Africa’s ancient Spier winery, with the oldest wine cellar in the land. Faisal was the business brains that transformed Spier into the nation’s most medalled winery in the 1990s.
- They bought a vineyard right next door to Spier, and for years sold them their grapes, which went into Spier’s top-of-the-range boutique wines.
