About the wine
The holy grail of Mr Darnault's wines
- Wines this good rarely make it outside of France. But as an Angel you have inside man Ben on your side. He got his hands on some top-notch Syrah and Grenache grapes to make you a super-premium wine.
- If you like your reds big and powerful this wine ticks every tantalising box... only the juiciest grapes are hand-picked from the vine. The juice is then aged in a smidgeon of oak and then matured for 18 months in egg-shaped concrete tanks – guaranteeing a smooth and sophisticated feel.
- He's well and truly outdone himself with this organic and biodinamic beauty... packed with ripe, crushed dark berry fruits, with a naughty slice of spice to round it off. Yum. Grab a lovely joint of pork, slow roast it so the crackling goes nice and crispy, a bit of stuffing, and several bottles of this.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Benjamin Darnault
- When Ben left a safe winemaking job in Australia to move back to France with his young family in the noughties, at first he really struggled. The financial crash of 2007/08 clobbered the winery he was working at, so they had to let him go. He couldn’t catch a break.
- That was until Angels freed Ben from the corporate fat cats and transformed his livelihood. Thanks to Angels, Ben was finally able to set up on his own and realise his lifelong dream of putting his own name on the label. Even better, he had an advance on his next vintage!
- With Angel support, Ben has been able to invest more, source even better fruit and establish strong relationships with local growers to improve the quality of his delicious wines year-on-year. With thousands of rave reviews, he’s a bonafide Naked icon.
