I was expecting an assault of fruit but actually there is a delicacy about this which is very attractive. Complex but subtle in its presentation of an array of Mediterranean fruits with a good acidity too giving it a nice fresh taste. A really attractive wine and great to see such experimentation on the site, although Katie can always be relied on to deliver. I chose it blind to accompany a crab salad which a fairly intense dish with a lot of complex flavour but it went very well. This is still a very young wine and I would expect it to develop and intensify if left for a year or too making it even more of an enticing prospect. Here we are a few months later and I can now comfortably say this wine is maturing superbly. We now have an earthy background to some lovely citrus and pear giving a satisfying and very delicious wine. Today it has been drunk with a salad of fresh langoustines and very good they were together.
