Simpsons of Servian Grenache Syrah Mourvedre 2016
About the wine
This fabulous French number brings the best bits of the old and new world together
- Charles and Ruth, our English lovelies in the Languedoc, have made this fabulous French number to bring all the best bits of the old and new world together. And the best bit? It's exclusive to YOU.
- Brimming with sensationally smooth ripe fruit, made all the more balanced with a subtle savoury pepper kick. Top that off with a brooding, earthy finish and the sexy smoulder of tobacco for a wine that's always as classy as it is tasty.
- Your Angel funding made this wine possible, which is why you'll only pay what it's worth - and not a penny more. Cracking with any good slab of red meat you care to lay your hands on - and when the wine is this versatile, you can be as experimental as you like!

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Charles & Ruth Simpson
- 18 years ago, Charles & Ruth took a leap into the unknown. They quit their dull, corporate jobs. Hopped on the first plane to France. And bought up their own little patch of grape-growing land in Southern France.
- It turned out to be an inspired move. Since then their delicious, Angel-exclusive wines haven’t stopped scooping IWC and Decanter World Wine Awards and rave reviews from wine-critic royalty.
- Their dream was always to return to their roots, making English wine in Blighty. Your backing also gave them the confidence to do just that! In 2014 they returned to their roots and planting their first English vineyard near Canterbury.
