Seifried Aotea Nelson Sauvignon Blanc 2011
About the wine
.
- Heidi the winemaker knows exactly what she's doing with this Sauvignon. She's gone for full out frontal assault on the senses with no prisoners taken, resulting in a deliciously herbal, grassy version with a massive gooseberry fruit explosion at its centre.
- Aotea range name comes from an old Maori word for New Zealand, Aotea-Roa, meaning 'land of the long white cloud', but there's nothing fluffy at all about this wine.
- An absolute star combination with Sushi, but fantastically at home with fish in general.
