One thing everyone should know about bona fide Naked legend, Sam Plunkett, is that he doesn’t do anything by halves. In 2018 he produced a plush Ripassare of such spectacular quality that it had Angels on their feet, and you better believe it was no accident. 

Ripasse is pretty darn fiddly. It’s labour intensive, time-consuming, and expensive to produce, so before Sam set out to make a new vintage he knew he wasn’t going to mess around with any old lackluster harvest. It was either the best, or nothing at all.

Lucky for us, the 2020 harvest played an absolute blinder. Sam was bowled over by the quality and quantity of Shiraz grapes on his hands and was able to divide the harvest in two. Normally you need two whole vintages to make a Ripassare but when you’ve got a vintage like 2020, you don’t need anything else.
