Seriously classy Aussie Shiraz by Sam

    • Australia produces some of the most scrumptious Shiraz in the world... so when your golden boy Sam tipped us off about some top-notch grapes, we didn’t think twice about giving him the extra funding to snap 'em up.
    • This is as full-flavoured as Shiraz gets. Bags of dark brambly fruit have been supercharged by all that lovely Aussie sun. Sam’s balanced the power-packed fruit with a peppery warmth, a creamy texture and a long jammy finish that just goes on forever.
    • Smooth enough to drink on its own - or it’s perfect with a big bowl of spag bol or a bubbling lamb casserole. Yum.

Ageing advice
Drink now to 2025. I like to drink this wine when it is relatively young and fruit forward, so over the next year or two. But I know there are some people who will enjoy cellaring this wine and drinking it with 5 or 7 years age when it will be more savoury and complex.

Serving advice
Serve at 16-18°C. Open/Decant 1-2 hours before serving

Local food match
We are big fans of the barbecue at home, including having a US made 'Pit Barrel Cooker'. If I could drink this wine with anything, it would be a tender piece of eye fillet steak off the Pit Barrel with some hickory for smoke!
