About the wine
This Chiaretto di Bardolino is as refreshing an Italian rosé as you'll find anywhere at this price
-
Marica’s cracking Chiaretto showcases the incredible potential of the Bardolino region, where the glacial climate produces elegant, refreshing wines with superb minerality and acidity.
-
Chiaretto - meaning ‘pale’ - is the special name used for rosé produced on the shores of Lake Garda, where Marica and her family are from. It’s made using the same top-notch grapes as their reds, all from their own vineyards.
-
It’s a light and delicate rosé with an almost Provence-style pale pink colour, but with more fruit and more fun. Gorgeous aromas of redcurrant and rose petal follow through to deliver a refreshing mouthfeel on the palate. A real spring and summer sipper.

Meet the winemaker - Marica Bonomo
-
Marica Bonomo is exactly the sort of person we love to support at Naked. A super-talented third generation winemaker at her family’s Veneto winery, which she runs with her siblings, parents and uncle.
-
Marica’s clan have been making top-quality Italian wines for 64 years. But until recently, they were a bit of a hidden gem. That’s because while Veneto is one of Italy’s most celebrated wine regions, home to iconic wines like Valpolicella and Amarone, Marica’s family are based around the lesser-known Custoza and Bardolino areas. So they’ve been long overshadowed by their more famous neighbours, despite having access to almost the exact same soils, climate and grapes.
- Thankfully, that’s now changing. Marica’s wines were recently named among the best in the world by experts from The Times and The Wine Spectator. And now, by connecting Marica with hundreds and thousands of eager UK Angels, her family wines are sure to finally get the love they deserve.
