Our 60˚ North Lager is a well-rounded lager using traditional Perle and Saaz hops with British grown Lager malt. Brewed with care in the Shetland Islands on the edge of the North Atlantic our lager is carefully cold conditioned for at least four weeks do develop its crisp distinctive taste. What makes our lager different is the clear fresh Shetland water we use and our year round cool climate. 60˚ North so called as the Lerwick Brewery sits above the 60˚ North Latitude line is a pale golden Lager in appearance. On the nose this lager is immediately rich and inviting with highlighted floral notes. In taste it packs a flavour punch saluting the lightly kilned lager malt rounding off with a lingering complimentary bitterness from the Saaz hops. Carbonation levels are relatively low enough to give a pleasurable drinking experience without that heavily carbonated feeling.
