JC van Staden Vermentino Lodi 2013
About the wine
Our top Vermentino - Clean & Crisp
- It's crisp and refreshing like a light white, but this vermentino has some nice heft to it too. Perfect white for people who want freshness AND some body.
- Vermentino is a relatively unknown grape so JC can get this for a song, but it's the backbone of a lot of Italian classics and it's coming to more prominence all around the world because it makes absolutely delicious and very distinctive whites.
- Grilled veggies and some nice mediterranean fish -- cold Vermentino will make the whole meal feel like a fancy Italian vacation.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - JC van Staden
- JC is an all-star in California's Central Valley with a hand in producing many of the award-winning wines in the area like the Peltier Station Teroldego that unhooked a couple gold medals and a "Best of Class" award last vintage.
- His job lets him spot great fruit that stands out, so he separates that to make great wine that always overdelivers.
- We're really excited to have a Lodi winemaker who specializes in big, beefy reds because these are typically expensive-styled wines, but he's delivering them at really impressive prices.
