David Seijas Gall Pintat 2019#
About the wine
When Angels cried out for more left-field wines they’d never tried before, we knew exactly the man to ask. David went off-the-beaten-track to sniff out this crisp aromatic white, rarely seen outside Spain.
It’s from Penedès, an under the radar region in Catalonia. Its backbone grape is Xarel.lo, prized among local winemakers for the refreshing acidity, structure and stone fruit flavours it brings to white wine.
Normally it’s hoarded by the bars and restaurants of Barcelona. Luckily, our ex El-Bulli Sommelier David managed to smuggle us out a few bottles, before they bought it all up.
