Corolla Nero d'Avola 2016
About the wine
This juicy Sicilian glugger is your midweek supper saviour
-
Widely hailed as one of Italy’s most important native varieties, this Nero d’Avola is found on the stunning island of Sicily and is best compared to New World Shirazes.
- From a 50-year-old cooperative in the heartland of the Nero d’Avola grape, it’s bursting with juicy blackcurrants and a subtle hint of black pepper. A quaffable glugger of a wine that’s crying out for a midweek spag bol.

We’ve had the chance to cherry-pick the best of Majestic wines to plug gaps in our range. This wine wasn’t funded by Angels, so doesn’t carry an Angel saving. But thanks to Majestic’s buying power, you still get it at a snip!

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Naked Marketplace
Every week, on our travels or back at HQ, we come across wines that taste amazing but weren’t made for us by Naked winemakers
At the price and quality, we wouldn’t be doing our job if we didn’t make them available to you. So we list them without a winemaker or a story under Naked Marketplace
They’re generally parcels and one-offs, so once they’re gone, they’re gone!
