Cordero Sicilia Bianco 2015
About the wine
Complex and minerally white from the south of Italy
- We were visiting the south of Italy when we found the grapes we've used for our Sicilia Bianco and instantly fell in love with them. The grapes are typical of those that you'd find in the south and we felt that they really reflected the feel of Sicily, so we decided to create this new wine to share with you!
- In the last few years Naked Wines have really helped us with our winemaking dreams, so when we told them what we had found they were very supportive in helping to get everything moving.
- The soil that our Sicilia Bianco grows on has a lot of marine stone, which gives our wine minerality and a complex feel. It's a wine with body and structure, perfect with a plate of pasta with seafood!

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Serena Cordero
-
Serena’s been delighting Angels for years with the top-shelf Italian wines she makes alongside her dad in Piedmont, like Barolo and Gavi di Gavi. Now, she’s also blazing new trails with a set of stunning Moldovan whites that’ve gone gangbusters. We can’t wait to see what she has up her sleeve next.
-
Serena knew from an early age she wanted to follow in the family footsteps… ‘I was 7 years old. Probably as a daughter in love with her dad, it was inevitable :-)’. She’s blossomed into a super-talented winemaker and is making her father proud with every bottle she makes.
-
Angel support helps Serena continue her family legacy, creating wines from the very same patch her grandad farmed years ago - and it’s also giving her the opportunity to discover new, off-the-beaten-track wines like her Moldovan gems. That’s why she’s so grateful and proud to share her kit with UK wine-lovers like you.
