Market Price
To show you the value you're getting as an Angel...

Every month, we benchmark a selection of our wines against up to three comparable wines on the market. The Market Price is based on the price of those wines.

What do we mean by benchmark? We order the wines in and taste them blind against our own, or we use our market knowledge (over 30 years between us) to set an industry standard Market Price.

If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Market Price, or it's not your cup of tea, we'll give you your money back.

About the wine

Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc from the genius behind New Zealand's most famous wines
  • No winemaking tricks here... armed with your funding, I was able to select the very best damn fruit I've ever seen, harvested in the cool of the night and gently pressed to preserve those classic Sauvignon Blanc characters.
  • The result is elegant yet complex. Powerful yet poised. An explosion of ripe tropical fruit including guava, blackcurrant, lime zest and pink grapefruit. All beautifully wrapped in that classic Marlborough zing which makes it so refreshingly drinkable.
  • It's a single vineyard Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc sourced from one of the most highly sought after blocks in the region. I reckon it's the best Sauvignon Blanc I've made in my 15 year career. And I've made some crackers!

Serving advice
Serve chilled at 8-10°C

Food match
Whilst seafood has a natural affinity with NZ Sauvignon Blanc, I have really been enjoying this wine with goats cheese. Anything with goats cheese and fresh herbs, this wine just sings. Also, skewers of watermelon and grilled haloumi......

Meet the winemaker - Liam McElhinney

  • If you've never heard of Liam McElhinney, he's the genius behind some of the world's most iconic Sauvignon Blancs - like Saint Clair and The Ned.
  • In 2009 he was named a top 10 young winemaker in all Australasia. Since then he's won #1 Sauvignon Blanc in New Zealand, the Decanter Sauvignon Blanc Trophy, and IWSC NZ Wine Producer of the Year.
  • Armed with your funding, Liam was able to select the very best grapes at the optimum time to make his first Angel-exclusive wines that massively over-deliver on bang for buck.
