Try alternativeHis family has been producing wine for over 60 years...and now it's his turn
Dario has been involved in winemaking since he was a tiny tot and couldn’t wait to follow in his father’s footsteps, which he did the second he graduated from university (in viticulture and oenology, of course).
He’s never happier than when he is out on the vineyards, and has a particular soft spot for Bordeaux styles like Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot as those are what he learnt to make wine with all those years ago. Ok, not so many years, he’s a youthful chap after all.
To Dario, every day is different and not once over the years has found himself twiddling his thumbs. He’s so excited to bring his wines to Angel’s and really hopes you enjoy them. We are pretty sure you will...

Dario Di Vaira's Story
Dario's Story
"I was born in a family who has been producing wine for more than 60 years. I graduated in viticulture and oenology at the University of Pisa. I love the family business and couldn’t wait to follow in my father's footsteps.
I love the countryside, the vineyards and making wine. It is such an honour to continue growing my father's business.
I think my wines are special because of their link with the earth. My favourite varietals to work with would be anything Bordeaux style. These are special to me as I learned to make wine with these varietals, especially Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
My proudest moment to date was winning the italian award "Nuovi Fattori di Successo"in 2013 as best italian farm driven by a young farmer, and I represented the italian farmers in Bruxelles in a workshop in December 2013.
It has gone so fast, but I have been involved in making wines for over 25 years!
In all that time it has never gotten boring. Every day is different from the other, and it permits me to travel a lot and to know lot of people. I hope the Angels will enjoy my wines!"
