If you like dry rose's then this is very good. i found the colder it was the better it tasted.

Best rose i have tried on NW to date, plenty of flavour and a lovely colour.

Fruity but dry. Not usually a big Rose fan but it was not bad. A summer drink in my opinion. A little on the expensive side. Had cheaper Rose wines that tasted not far off the same quality.

Liked it. Not bone dry, some body, pleasant aroma and easy drinking while you cook (or sit on the patio in the sun while someone else cooks)

I was expecting far more from this wine....due to its price.

It was a standard Loire valley Rose with no fireworks.

Also it contained my pet hate the plastic cork which infuses the wine with a strange taste....and to add to my woes this 'cork' broke my corkscrew.

Would it be possible to indicate the type of closure on a bottle so that I can avoid synthetic corks?

Meet the Winemaker

Joost de Villebois

"Being as green as possible in my vineyards is very important to me. We try and use a very limited number of 'products' in the fields, and we also green harvest in order to optimize the quality of the grapes and minimize production per hectare. Finally, we use a technique called 'effeuillage' - the reduction of leafs to increase the sun and light exposure of the grapes. We have a great team here at Villebois, with Thierry Coutant who runs and supervises the vineyards, and Pascal Gibault, our other resident winemaker."
