Just had the 2nd bottle that was origionally purchased in December 2009. I only gave it a rating of 3.5/5 back then. I have changed my mind however. This was a fabulous wine. Different to most things I'd normally come across. Refreshing and truly splendid. 4.5/5

A simply brilliant medium bodied wine that I would mistake for a really good Pinot Noir.

A subtle summer fruit, minerally nose that practically dares you to take a sip.

It tastes fresh, clean and uncomplicated. Think crushed strawberries filtered in a rocky mountain stream.

And a looooong dry finish. I was lying in bed an hour later and could still detect the minerals.

I love a fruity wine but sometimes you want a drier more savoury wine especially with a tomato based meal and this hits the spot. Excellent.

this was just a routine bottle, enjoyable but nothing special.
as with all the wines in the most recent case i have purchased i dont consider any value for money up to now.
this bottle at £9.99 is no better than can be bought in any
major supermarket for £6.99.disapointing.

for the money, pretty decent, in fact not too bad at all but we had already had 3 bottles so a little unsure of how deep the flavor was ;)

Meet the Winemaker

Carlos Arizu

"I am a third generation winemaker and over time I have fallen in love with high altitude wines. Some say the Valley of Fiambalá is one of the most remote places on earth and I believe them BUT this is my dream location for a winery even with it's extreme challenges!"
