What's this about?

The fastest way for us to help you find the wines you'll love (and avoid the wines you won't ) is for you to spend 30 seconds to tell us about your wine tastes. We use these answers, together with your wine ratings to build a detailed profile of your personal tastes. We match your taste profile to our wines taste profile to find the wines that match. Even if it's a grape you don't know, from a place you don't know, made by a person you have never heard of. For example, if you tell us that you like Rioja, we have an Argentinean Malbec that you will adore. And a Spanish Grenache that will blow your socks off.

Full bodied Chardonnay, drunk a while ago, but I did enjoy it. I am ordering some more to supplement my cellar. I tend to the more flavoursome white wines from Burgundy and this definitely fits the bill.
Fantastic wine and my favourite white on the site.

Grass on the nose, buttery and minerally in the mouth with a honeysuckle finish.

Wonderfully complex but that?s why it works.

There is a heavy Cote de Beaune influence on this French-oaked Chardonnay as you would expect. The 2007 delivers a Meursault-esque experience at a fraction of the price. It is rare to find a New World Chardonnay so young that still benefits from such well developed toasty oak and creamy tones. Top stuff.

There is not much information to be found about this wine on the label, but the integration of fruit and oak suggest fermentation in barrel. There is a compelling tension between the tang of the fruit and the caramel yogurt overtones of the wood which resolve themselves on the finish into something bright and pure. Definitely a food wine, and one to linger over.

"I do not consider winemaking to be a job, it's a way of life. I feel really fortunate to be involved in this wonderful industry. Oh, and it's great that I don't have to wear a tie, in fact, I don't even own one! My father bought our farm in 1980 and I started working the vines with him in 1998. One the bug hit me I couldn't resist making our own wines. Following our first vintage of Chardonnay, I was awarded a Young Wine Maker of the year award, as well as 4.5 stars in Platter and Wine Magazine. I work very closely with my Dad. He's very proud of what we do with the grapes and neither of us would change what we do for the world."
