"I do not consider winemaking to be a job, it's a way of life. I feel really fortunate to be involved in this wonderful industry. Oh, and it's great that I don't have to wear a tie, in fact, I don't even own one! My father bought our farm in 1980 and I started working the vines with him in 1998. One the bug hit me I couldn't resist making our own wines. Following our first vintage of Chardonnay, I was awarded a Young Wine Maker of the year award, as well as 4.5 stars in Platter and Wine Magazine. I work very closely with my Dad. He's very proud of what we do with the grapes and neither of us would change what we do for the world."

I cannot say enough nice things about this wine. It may be on the more pricey side, but in my opinion is worth every penny. If you can bear to actually share a bottle (I foolishly brought a bottle to a dinner party with me as I was aware it was one of the hosts favourites and I had yet to try it) it will please nearly all. Clealry I am a big fan, it won me over despite the fact its not the usual kind of grape I enjoy. Extremely smooth and sophisticated, but does benefit from a good breathing period.

Not really my kind of grape, but if this is your style it's worth every penny. Much more depth of flavour than I was expecting (though it needed a couple of hours to breathe). Went very well with a big steak, which softened a hint of acidity. Slightly herbaceous taste, and quite smoky. If I wasn't such a fan of shiraz, I'd definitley buy it again.

A lovely complex full bodied wine made to accompany food to see it at it's best.

A seriuosly good sophisticated and complex full bodied wine that will be best appreciated by fans of classic Bordeaux, I feel, though equally if your palate is not terroir attuned you may not like it so much. And for this price you should.
