"I guess you could say that wine is in my blood. I grew up on the family vineyard and winery alongside my siblings who now also work in the family business. My mother and father pioneered modern wine-grape growing in the South Island of NZ. This was back in the early 70s when as a young couple they were told Nelson was too far south and that grapes would only ever be viable in the North Island of NZ. Now, 35 years plus later, the South Island of NZ produces the vast majority of NZ wine! Quite a remarkable turnaround in such a brief time!

I haven't delved too deeply into the world of NZ Reds, so I didn't know what to expect with this one.
It had an almost floral & herbal aroma and it finishes with a slight spiciness.
Really easy to drink and very enjoyable.

Very nice indeed. Lots of delicious red fruits, just enough spice and a pleasant long finish. I drank this wine on its own, although it would have been even better with cheese or a big, meaty, warming winter stew!

Lovely, floral initial taste. Nice and light and made for summer (shame it was lashing down outside :-)) It seemed to fade after the initial taste, which was a shame.

Initially slightly tart taste, but we all agreed it had a lovely after taste. Maybe the label suggested it was chunky and rich, which we didn't find, but we all really enjoyed this one!
