It was ok, but rather bland and not worth even the discounted price. Inoffensive.

"I did not choose winemaking, winemaking chose me. I remember picking grapes in 1992 in Stellenbosch, and I was so happy, I knew that if I became a winemaker I would feel like a king. I believe in sustainable farming. This means that whatever I do, I try and leave the soil in a better condition than when I found it. I have realised, however, that whatever techniques you use as a winemaker, none have such a big impact on the process as having a positive energy in the vineyard and in the cellar (one of my key points!). It's vital that everybody you work with focusses on making a unique and special wine, rather than applying fancy and clever techniques."

A huge disapointment, not nearly as nice as the cheaper Raats Original CB, and I've got another five bottles. May improve.

I gave this bottle of wine to my neighbour and her and her friend were were extremely impressed - exquisite was the word she used. It was all gone in the one evening. She was halfway through the bottle before she knew it and then it was all gone.
She wants to get more so I suspect there will be another Angel created!

This is excellent, and you really can taste the improvement on the Raats Original Chenin Blanc which is one of my favourites. I think it is also worth the additional couple of pounds, but will probably buy both this and the Original again.

Loved this, and I don't think I've ever said that about a Chenin before!
It had some real body to it - drank it straight after the standard BW chenin and you could really tell the difference
