By sheer luck I came across a bottle of this wine this evening and felt I deserved a treat. Pure and utter heaven in a bottle. Love it! Smooooooooth, rich, lots of flavour and just pure luxury. A truly magnificent wine. :-)

This was way more full bodied than I expected, I thought the last time I had a Pinotage it was a bit softer. However that does disguise the fact that this is a big wine with big flavour. Strong Blackberry but not jammy, it has a good mix of other fruits to hold it back, almost like it had shiraz characteristics with a spicy finish. I thought it was too much for the Bolognese, which would have suited something a little less challanging. Regard this as a non food wine for its individual character, or something with very rich flavours in the food.
