Lovely peppery aroma typical of Chilean Cab Sav's - definitely on a part if not better than the Del Diablo stuff from the supermarkets, and cheaper if you buy with cashback

I love this wine. It's not as tart as some cab savs, but deep, rich and plummy, with a warmth that lingers on the palate. It definitely goes down easy - perhaps too easy!

A little while ago a friend did us a huge favour. As a thank you we got her a mixed case of 6 wines, which she really enjoyed. Luckily she was kind enough to share one or two with us (she only lives next door so we get together a lot)
Well the wine was the Explorer Cabernet Sauvignon 2006.
Normally I am a huge Rioja fan. I love the warmth and ease in which it can be drunk (Trying to use descriptive words!!!!, yes I am new at this.)
But I have to say this Cabernet was truly delicious. We opened it and just let it sit there for a while, ok about 5 mins!! The flavours were just wonderful, so much so that I went and bought a case of just this wine.
Many of you far more experienced people may raise an eyebrow here, but I am going to say, if you like Rioja, you will really like this. (Is that a valid way to describe a cabernet? I don’t know, what I do know is it was yummy delicious)
