What's this about?

The fastest way for us to help you find the wines you'll love (and avoid the wines you won't ) is for you to spend 30 seconds to tell us about your wine tastes. We use these answers, together with your wine ratings to build a detailed profile of your personal tastes. We match your taste profile to our wines taste profile to find the wines that match. Even if it's a grape you don't know, from a place you don't know, made by a person you have never heard of. For example, if you tell us that you like Rioja, we have an Argentinean Malbec that you will adore. And a Spanish Grenache that will blow your socks off.

An expensive (overpriced?) treat at £15 but at the angels' price I'd say this is good value given the extra 20cl compared to many other dessert wines. Not syrupy, sickly sweet like many dessert wines - some people have said this is "thin", I'd say his is just how it should be rather than that horrible £4 a bottle Spainish stuff you get at the off-licence. A lovely aroma of elderflower water which continues on the palate, with jut a slight touch of acidity, makes this a real pleasure. Well done Dominique!

I really enjoyed this well chilled on a warm summers day. Fabulous nose of sultanas and lychee and a delicious palate with just a lick of acidity.
Not the most complex wine but as a summer aperitif it was very enjoyable.

Smells of tinned fruits (pears and peaches); nose is honeyed and sweet which unsurprisingly carries through on the palate. Wine drinks cleanly and isnt cloying (more like icing sugar than golden syrup) but is rather thin and lacks depth. The burst of sweetness is not balanced by any tangible acidity, leading to a rather unbalanced wine. This may sound stupid but it tastes fortified (spirit-like); I've had other VDNs that have managed to hide the alcoholic addition. Was unimpressed with this wine, and at £15, is not brilliant value.

A fabulous pudding wine - and great value given the bottle size! About the same per 100ml as Brown Brothers Muscat, but oh so much more individual and far less - well - industrial...

Stock up for Christmas now before I buy it all.

"Me and my brother, Baptiste, are the third generation of our family working at Domaine de Cristia. We started working here back in 1999, taking over from my father. The soils were in excellent condition thanks to Dad's biodynamic conception of agriculture. But trying to change old mentalities was a challenge! After our first few vintages, we really found our own style in 2003. That vintage produced some wonderful wine, and The Wine Advocate called us the 'New Superstars from Chateaueuf-du-Pape'. Winemaking is something I'm truly passionate about. And I love working with my brother Baptiste, who is an engine of energy, ideas, positivity and reassurance. But if I wasn't making wine, I'd be a professor of history, or an intrepid explorer a la Indiana Jones!"
