For me, good food and good wine go hand-in-hand, which is why I've teamed up with Naked Wines.

They support passionate independent wine producers from around the world by importing their tasty plonk to the UK - meaning you get to share their beautiful wines.

And to get you started, why not try one of my pre-mixed winter cases? We've put together some fantastic Christmas offers which I'm sure you'll love!

Cheers

What's this about?

The fastest way for us to help you find the wines you'll love (and avoid the wines you won't ) is for you to spend 30 seconds to tell us about your wine tastes. We use these answers, together with your wine ratings to build a detailed profile of your personal tastes. We match your taste profile to our wines taste profile to find the wines that match. Even if it's a grape you don't know, from a place you don't know, made by a person you have never heard of. For example, if you tell us that you like Rioja, we have an Argentinean Malbec that you will adore. And a Spanish Grenache that will blow your socks off.

Glad I took a punt on six of these for Christmas. An almost cakey-like sweetness on the nose, followed by loads of fruit on the palate. Loads of legs on the glass too. I went at first bottle without a hearty meal to accompany - schoolboy error. You'd think that the bad boy 15.5% alcohol tag would be enough of a warning to tread carefully, but I'm afraid some of us never learn. Enthusiasm got the better of me, the alcohol got the better of my palate and I ended up drunk and disheartened. Round two was a different story. A beef stew with horseradish mash set it off a treat, and with a full stomach and a plate of stinky cheese the bottle soon emptied. I'm gonna to save a couple of these back - it's an expensive number, but a rewarding treat when given the grace it deserves!

Finally got around to trying this wine again after enjoying it so much at the Aussie tasting last year. It didn't disappoint! Full of jammy fruitiness and classic new world flavours, this is a blend that really works well.

A shame NW have now sold out - I hope Jock will be sending us more this summer!

"I grew up amongst the vines as a boy. I have several memories from when I was young...hand-picking grapes, loading grapes onto trailers, drinking constant supplies of Grenache juice, tasting the sweet pink juice that bubbled in the winery fermenters...the list continues. It's a fantastic career; an opportunity for adventure, hard work, good food and wine and meeting other wine lovers..."
