"My grandfather had a winery and my first memories are associated with wineries, and have always been something I enjoyed since a kid. My father liked me to go to the vineyards, but I just wanted to be in the winery, it was what interested me most and where I felt better."

This wine had a nice flavour to start with, but it left a very bitter aftertaste. May just have been a bad bottle, but I wouldn't buy it again.

Fantastic wine from a well known area of Setubal/Palmela, well done, need some more Portuguese wines on the naked wines list.

Portugese wine isn't normally high on the list of ones to browse when making a selection but maybe this is the start of a new wave in old vines given a modern twist by mixing them with more popular grape varieties. I was really impressed with the Portugese stand at the tasting I went to and this is similarly spot on. A blend of old resinous pine with some citrus and beautifully balanced. Very drinkable on its own and robust enough to take a range of food including pork. Lovely.<br />Another bottle, equally good. Complexity, fruit, balance, this is the best cure for a hard day in the office I know.....
