"My grandparents had a wine farm near Cape Town many years ago. I never had any intentions of making wine, until we bought Belfield in 2000. At that time the Elgin area was being touted as an exciting wine growing area, and I fell for the propaganda!! I enjoy the challenge of working with a natural product, and seeing the grapes change into red nectar! Oh, and I love the fact that I don't have to wear a tie to work."
