A clean, fresh-tasting wine, where everything seems slightly understated both on the nose and the palate. A quiet unassuming wine, in that it does not grab your taste-buds and shake them about, it just pleasantly tickles them with a nice balance of fruitiness and acidity. With our fish dish it blended to a degree in the sense that because it is not powerful it might need careful matching and tonight with an olive oil, pesto, garlic and pine kernels it wilted a bit. Light in alcohol too at 11.5%, so maybe one for the mid-week meal?

After five long hard days at work, i came one springs evening and fancied something light. I came upon this in my cellar and i must admit i'm not a massive fan of french wines but this hit the spot perfectly. It was light and fruity and actually quite good, being of french origin and all.
