What's this about?

The fastest way for us to help you find the wines you'll love (and avoid the wines you won't ) is for you to spend 30 seconds to tell us about your wine tastes. We use these answers, together with your wine ratings to build a detailed profile of your personal tastes. We match your taste profile to our wines taste profile to find the wines that match. Even if it's a grape you don't know, from a place you don't know, made by a person you have never heard of. For example, if you tell us that you like Rioja, we have an Argentinean Malbec that you will adore. And a Spanish Grenache that will blow your socks off.

I, too, really enjoyed the Nero. Looking forward to trying the Montepulciano later this week over dinner with friends. :-)

I'm just sitting here drinking your Milani Nero d’Avola Sicilia 2008 and I have to say it's extremely delicious. A very easy drinking wine that will require me to show some restraint.

Manuel's Story

"My grandfather father owned few hectares with old vines in Veneto region, he introduced me to the world of wine when I was a child. I followed him in the vineyards early in the morning looking at him and following his comments on the grapes and their maturation point.

I enjoyed helping him during his “micro” vintages and making my first small tastings with the sweet and fruity must of Pinot Grigio and Merlot. My interest in the wine making grown so much that I decided this had to be my life.

I studied to became enologue and here I am , enjoying my job and meeting new people, new projects and increasing my knowledge everyday.

I love working with mother nature following the wine from the beginning when I consider it as a baby up to when I think it is ready to be enjoyed. You need to be Passionate, Patient and Proud, Scrupulous, Concentrated without these, any technique could not be enough.

What is the one thing I hate about my job? Filling out papers due to the strict rules we have here in Europe especially when I could be sitting in front of a big old fire-place with my best friends tasting big glass of bodied red wine and discussing about football or F1 car races!"
