What's this about?

The fastest way for us to help you find the wines you'll love (and avoid the wines you won't ) is for you to spend 30 seconds to tell us about your wine tastes. We use these answers, together with your wine ratings to build a detailed profile of your personal tastes. We match your taste profile to our wines taste profile to find the wines that match. Even if it's a grape you don't know, from a place you don't know, made by a person you have never heard of. For example, if you tell us that you like Rioja, we have an Argentinean Malbec that you will adore. And a Spanish Grenache that will blow your socks off.

Big, full bodied red wines? The kind of wine that goes with a rich meaty stew? E.g. Aussie Shiraz.
Elegant restrained reds...e.g. Bordeaux and Burgundy.

Dear Joost, Thierry and all the rest of the Villebois gang!

Dave and I are to be married towards the end of August this year, and are thinking of spending our honeymoon in France. We were wondering if you were around at any time in the last week of August because, after a few days in Paris, we would love to travel to the Loire and visit your vineyards as part of our trip!

Do you think this would be possible? He's so keen to meet you all after all the fabulous things I've told him about the place!

Looking forward to hearing from you.

I'm very excited as a couple of the Villebois team are coming over from France to co-host a tasting with us for our local village wine club on 21st April. We're very lucky as Thierry Merlet one of their winemakers will be coming over to talk to us about the wines and vineyard and will be accompanied by Jeannet from the Villebois team.

It should be a good turnout as we've got over 60 members in our village wine club and usually get around 40 members attending our regular monthly meetings which can make for a very noisy / sociable evening when we're tasting 8 to 9 wines, but at least we only have a short walk home.

Luckily a new batch of Villebois wines has just arrived in stock so we've been able to order all of the current wines that NW stocks from Villebois; which has given us a good range of wines to taste during the evening.

This means we’ll have the following eight wines to taste:

Villebois Sparkling NV
Villebois Rose
Petit Villebois
Villebois Sauvignon Blanc
Villebois Prestige Sauvignon Blanc 2008
Villebois Sancerre 2009
Villebois Prestige Malbec 2008
Villebois Chinon Cabernet Franc

It looks set to be a very informative and enjoyable evening and I like to say a big thank you to Naked Wines and the Villebois team for making this happen.

If anyone is interested in coming along just let me know and I'll provide you with details

Is anyone else confused?

It appears all the "Don Ramon" wines are now called "Don Hernan".... odd!
