Live life, drink wine, be happy. Reds: I am a Rioja man at heart but also like fruity New World reds. Not adverse to a good port with some strong cheese. Whites: Sauvignon blanc, Viogner, Champagne ;-

A nice wine, which varied significantly from beginning to end of the bottle. Having just opened it, I initially found it relatively uninspiring and not as fruity as many carmeneres drunk previously. That said, I perhaps should have opened an hour or so prior to drinking because it improved significantly as the bottle emptied (all by itself!). Given that I've had so many really good red wines from Naked, I'd say this was a touch pricey at full whack and just about value at cashback. I might try one more bottle and open further ahead.

I like to think I swim against the stream, but guess what? I drank it with Chilli con Carne too.. Purely coincidental, as my sister was cooking. But a decent match all the same. Non-red drinkers could do worse than starting here, as the rich berry flavours will instantly transport you back to being five years old, standing with a jar of jam in one hand, and a spoon of said jam in your mouth, complete with dreamy facial expression. Fans of Cab Sauv will also be pleased to get the familiar berryliciousness, the definitely detectable notes of chocolate, and a surprsingly velvety finish. Invite this wine to a fun, casual dinner with friends, or just pour a glass and put on a jumper and take it outside to look at the stars.

Hi Jock,

I'm really looking forward to drinking this wine, I didn't manage to try the 2006, which sounded great, and I can't imagine what all those grapes are going to do in the same glass! When do you reckon it'll be drinking at it's best? obviously a botlle's going to be opened the day it arrives, but after that, how long will it improve for?

Thanks.

I really like this one - so much that I drank it all by myself without sharing!
