Deep & dark in colour, this has a nose of rich fruit with an undertone of the rustic area it comes from.

It pleases in the mouth too, full on with a spicy kick of the new world but ending with the restraint of the old. Woody bramble flavours & a long warming finish ensure this goes down well with a good stew or on it's own afterwards.

At £6.50 it's a definite reorder for me!

Cheers

Enjoyed it - as good as any Rioja I have ever tasted - infact slightly better - I really enjoy drinking from magnums - takes me back to when my brother in-law was alive - he only drank wine and champagne as magnums. Said it made it easier to chose which wine to order from BB&R as there were less to chose from - some logic in that! Let's have more magnums!

New review - last botle was very high in tannin and not at all special. Second bottle yesterday was smooth full, round and worth every penny!
