Greetings from NZ

Phew, I have just ducked in from the heat at our local Wine and Food Festival which is held at a local vineyard every year. It is a great day out and a good chance for our locals and visitors to town to get out and sample some great local wines and food!

Summer has arrived and our grapes are lapping up all the sunshine. Berries are sizing up and soon red grapes will begin to colour up as we hit veraison over the next week or two! From there it is simply a waiting game as we monitor sugar and flavour accumulation in the fruit! And of course we need to protect our crop from birds who will keenly gobble up everything we have if we don't net the entire vineyard!

Keep drinking kiwi wine! Best regards

Happy New Year!

It is all go go go here with the grapevines charging ahead into 2012! Our staff have had a very busy week lifting wires, trimming and leaf plucking the vineyard to get it looking neat and tidy after the Christmas break for all.

We are now finally enjoying some decent summer heat and sunshine which our vines love! Fingers crossed it lasts!

Seasons greetings from 'down under'

All well here as the summer weather finally settles in for us! This is great news for the Sauvignon Blanc vines which are now well into flowering! The canopy is growing and growing and the team are hard at work out in our vineyards lifting wires and tidying up the vineyard before they head off for a well earned Christmas break!

Thank you for all the on going support during 2011. We love hearing all the shining reports back about our wines! And, gee there has been a LOT of great press for us in the UK this year for us across the board, but in particular recently with our Sweet Agnes Riesling making the top Christmas wine picks for many of your high profile wine writers! Fabulous news!

I hope you make the most of the festive period and get the chance to enjoy some special wines.

HI Richard
Thanks for taking the time to comment on our Seifried Pinot Noir 2009. I am sorry you found it so disappointing. It certainly is very delicate and not at all a power wine. Perhaps a richer, fuller red would be better suited to your palate.
