Hi everyone
Sorry about the long silence. Since my last post we have finished the 2011 harvest, had a dry and warm summer and crashed out of the Cricket World Cup. The first one went well. Summer is, well, summer and cricket happens.

The 2011 wines look much better though. Most wines are in barrel already and busy with Malolactic fermentation.
Overall good quality with healthy, ripe grapes. No complaints.

More good news is that Naked Wines will have stock of the Shiraz 2007 soon, with more Pinotage coming.
Thanks to all the great posts below. We appreciate the positive feedback, especially during harvest when this motivates you to keep going.

Keep drinking the good stuff.
Regards
Stefan

Hi Everyone
It is that time of year already. Everyone at Manley wishes you a merry Christmas and prosperous 2011. I hope you enjoy our wines as much in the new year.

We have just finished bottling our 2009 vintage and it looks great. It will now relax in the bottle for a while before it is labeled and released. Can`t wait.
The 2011 harvest also looks promising so far. Good growth and healthy vineyards all round.

Remember a good bottle of red goes a long way in keeping the cold outside.
Have a great festive season.
The Manley team.

The Pinotage vineyard is budding and the shoots are growing fast in the nice Spring weather we are having at the moment. It is always a week or two earlier than the other varietals, almost as if it can read your good comments and are showing off to the others. The Shiraz is not far behind, and rightly so, the 2007 just won a Silver medal at the Michelangelo awards. I`ll read this out loud to the vineyards and see if they respond.
When we run out of Pinotage, please remember the poor Shiraz and Merlot/Cab vineyards. Your moral support will help them push through to the harvest in February.
I`ll send them your regards.

Thanks
Stefan

Hi Everyone
Thanks for the good comments. I just wanted to let you know that the Manley Merlot Cab Sauvignon was chosen as one of the top ten Bordeaux Blends by South African Wine Magazine in their newest edidition. So if you are looking to try something else, please keep this in mind. Let me know what you think.
Regards
Stefan

Hi Everyone

The World Cup is over. Bafana Bafana did not get very far. Well done Spain. But, had it been decided with wine, South Africa would have surprised even Paul the octopus. So instead of watching a game, open a bottle and spend 90 minutes enjoying a sure bet, no penalties. (Maybe a slight headache due to the silence of no vuvuzelas)

Thanks for all the wonderfull comments on all your favourite wines. We enjoy hearing from you.

Regards
Stefan

PS: The Pinotage will be in stock in the next week or two.
