This has been a Samll and Small week, with thre bottles of their excellent Sauvignon Blanc on the empties pile, but today the threat of snow and some very tasty nibbles called for a big, full on red. They don't come much bigger than the OVineyards Trah Lah Lah. We had it with Olives, some manchego cheeses and vegetable crisps as an appetizer before the main chillie and baked potatoes.
This wine compliments food so well, it is heady and tannic and gives as good as it gets. At the moment their is an offer of a free bottle around, if you have the opportunity give it a try!

Loire Valley in April and a chance to meet Joost again... how nice! Looking forward to sharing the experience with Frankie and Graham as our Archangel of the year award. Thank you Naked wines, this is what makes you special, meeting the people who's wines we drink.
Look forward to the Naked Wine world tour this year, have you firmed up dates and places yet?

We started picking a couple of nights ago, first time weve picked iN January
, this is because the crops are light and we've had a classic year, wet winters, mild spring and a few hot days in summer. 2012 will go down as a classic. On Sunday night it was still in the mid twenties around midnight when Nadal and Jocovik were playing their epic final at the Australian Open, I was picking Chardonnay around midnight when a shower of rain came through, the fruit tasted like pineapple and with a warm night and a shower of rain it felt more like Asia than McLaren Vale. We'll be picking the Savignan for Jacko's Leap in a couple of weeks, drink up, drink safe

Just finishing my first bottle of this. For such a young wine it has a splendidly rounded, smooth f
