What's this about?

The fastest way for us to help you find the wines you'll love (and avoid the wines you won't ) is for you to spend 30 seconds to tell us about your wine tastes. We use these answers, together with your wine ratings to build a detailed profile of your personal tastes. We match your taste profile to our wines taste profile to find the wines that match. Even if it's a grape you don't know, from a place you don't know, made by a person you have never heard of. For example, if you tell us that you like Rioja, we have an Argentinean Malbec that you will adore. And a Spanish Grenache that will blow your socks off.

Perez Cruz Cot Reserva Limited Edition 2007
by German Lyon

Perez Cruz Cot Reserva Limited Edition 2007
  • Perez Cruz wines are a big hit with pretty much everyone
  • Cot is an old French name for Malbec, Malbec being a traditional Bordeaux grape but now regarded as the jewel in South America's crown
  • Big, deep, dark and rich. It would be rude not to drink this with a nice piece of rump and some thrice fried chips

Full of flavour, we enjoyed this wine after a long, treacherous drive across the hills and valleys of South East Scotland during the recent floods.

We wanted something warming, smooth, full of flavour - a hot water bottle wine. And that's exactly what we got.

I've rated it 3.5 because we didn't try it with food - and I imagine this would be awesome with grilled steak! I'll try it again with food - and may well up my rating if I'm right.

this is extremely good wine. Smooth, luscious and sophisticated! I've had 3 bottles of this now and it's gone down a treat every time. Very deep and fruity with a dark intense colour, it remided me of a large natural pool of cool water in a dark, brooding forest. What a terrific wine sentance that was.

It was slightly shiny (and sweet) straight out of the bottle, but after 15 minutes its depth became apparent. To achieve 5 stars it just needed a little more of a lasting aftertaste.

Marvellous!

"I work with an absolutely fantastic team at Perez Cruz, and I always believe that a good wine is the product of a team rather than an individual. I have the luck of being the visible face and the one that receives the congratulations for the wines, but everyone in the team is key for the final result, from the person who prunes the vineyard, to the worker that sticks the labels etc."
