What's this about?

The fastest way for us to help you find the wines you'll love (and avoid the wines you won't ) is for you to spend 30 seconds to tell us about your wine tastes. We use these answers, together with your wine ratings to build a detailed profile of your personal tastes. We match your taste profile to our wines taste profile to find the wines that match. Even if it's a grape you don't know, from a place you don't know, made by a person you have never heard of. For example, if you tell us that you like Rioja, we have an Argentinean Malbec that you will adore. And a Spanish Grenache that will blow your socks off.

A bit too subtle for me, fairly bland.

I've now had three bottles of this (on different occasions). As an observation, not a criticism, I am convinced this wine is at its best on day one of opening, maybe after an hour of breathing. It is interesting to read that Neil finds it better on day two.

Must agree with the NW description(a rarity!) "Gorgeously ripe, spicy and silky smooth this is a real winner and definitely far too easy to drink!". I had this with some venison. As I cooked I 'monitored' the Vincien to make sure it was breathing, as you do. I couldn't get it in my gob fast enough. Having cooked the meat I just had to whack a half-glass into the pan and reduce it for a jus - fwoooooaaaaar! Great out of the bottle, even more splendido after a day.

Carlos Arizu

"I am a third generation winemaker and over time I have fallen in love with high altitude wines. Some say the Valley of Fiambalá is one of the most remote places on earth and I believe them BUT this is my dream location for a winery even with it's extreme challenges!"
