Corked wine. Cork taint. Tri-chloro-anisole. TCA. Annoying when it hits you isn't it?

yet i read on Wikipedia that "One method of removing TCA from tainted wine is to soak polyethylene (a plastic used for applications such as milk containers and plastic food wrap) in the affected wine. The non-polar TCA molecule has a high affinity for the polyethylene molecule, thereby removing the taint from the wine. "

can anyone tell me if this is a wind-up or for real?

Well if its a Naked bottle let them know and they will refund you, don't know about the milk bottle thing but well worth an experiment with an affected bottle I'd say.
