Comment on: Domaine Cristia Grenache Syrah 2009

Bit light for my personal tastes (prefer big reds) but fairly smooth. I was expecting slightly more attitude given the Syrah. Unfortunately drank this a while ago so can't remember more specific impressions, but the people I drank this with all found it very drinkable. May be a good one to serve as an inoffensive red at a dinner party where you are unsure of your guests' preferences or suspect that they might be put off by an oaky behemoth...

Not my favourite. Little bit thin, and a little bit weak. Easily drinkable, but just not that *nice*

If I'm after a well priced, quaffable red, there's lots of other options on the site I'd take ahead of it.

I was disappointed by this one. Comes across as too young - thin with little depth or complexity. Drank second half of bottle the following day and definitely improved as a result of being open for 24 hours, but still some way short of expectations given what can be achieved with these two grapes at this price point.
